Buy and Download electronic versions of famous Markgraf Prints Their prints were all made by hand in small quantities, usually around 100, in their studio on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada and most of the editions sold out within days of being presented in Vancouver. Their work pre-dates the later mass-production of "original signed prints" when thousands of copies were mechanically produced and signed by artists who had little to do with their creation. A few artist's proofs and prints retained by the artists are still available starting at Can $440.00. If you are interested in such prints, please e-mail markgraf@north46.com with your inquiries. To bring this body of work to a wider audience, we have created electronic copies of some of the best-known prints (Big Sur, Colorado River, Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, Teton Range) and are offering them for sale for Can $9.95 (about US $6.50). More images will be posted at this site every month. If you would like to see a specific print offered or if you would like to be notified when new prints are offered, please e-mail markgraf@north46.com The images are high-resolution files in TIFF or PDF format and are suitable for printing out on ink-jet printers. An excellent image can be obtained on 8.5" x 11" ink-jet paper. The files are offered as self-executing, password-protected, zipped files. When you order, you will receive a password by e-mail. When you download a file and double-click it, you will be asked for the password. The same password is good for TIFF and PDF files. Once you enter the password, the image file in TIFF or PDF format will be created on your computer and you will be able to print it out. |
